Accelerator deal calculator: what the deal really costs you
Pick a program (or enter any deal), then your expected next round. You'll see the valuation the fixed stake implies, how much an uncapped MFN SAFE adds when it converts, and how much of the company founders keep after the round. Every fixed-stake deal at one example round
Example inputs, not data: a $4M raise at a $16M pre-money valuation, no option pool. Without an accelerator, founders would own 80% after that round. MFN SAFE amounts are only filled in where the official terms name one; EF's is optional.

The fixed stake is treated like a post-money SAFE: it's a set percentage of the company just before your priced round, counting the MFN SAFE. The uncapped MFN SAFE converts at the round price, so it takes about its amount divided by the pre-money valuation. Then the new money dilutes everyone, accelerator included. Option pools, other SAFEs, discounts and pro-rata rights are left out, so treat the output as a close estimate and check your own documents.
Questions founders ask
What valuation is Y Combinator's $500,000 deal?
$125,000 buys a fixed 7% stake, which implies a post-money valuation of about $1,785,714. The other $375,000 is an uncapped MFN SAFE that converts at your next round's price, so it adds dilution later.
How does an uncapped MFN SAFE convert?
An uncapped SAFE has no valuation cap and no discount, so it converts at the price of your next priced round: the amount divided by that round's pre-money valuation is roughly the share it takes. MFN (most favored nation) means that if you later issue SAFEs on better terms, the holder can switch to those terms.
Does a follow-on commitment dilute founders more?
Follow-on money, such as a16z speedrun's extra up to $500K or South Park Commons' $600K guaranteed in the next round, is invested in your next round at that round's price. It's part of the round you raise, not extra dilution on top of it.
Which accelerator deal implies the highest valuation?
Among the 10 programs with a published fixed stake, South Park Commons Founder Fellowship implies the highest post-money valuation at about $5,714,286. The lowest is Techstars New York City at about $400,000.
